Measure for Measure: PRS Chair
Pushups. Rapping. Sewing. These were the three things I needed my chair to do. For pushups - Turn the chair so that the top, seat and leg joint corner, and the end of the leg extension are facing the ground. Then, grab onto the back legs. The three points of contact and the reinforced joints at the points of stress insures that the exercise can be done securely and safely. For rapping - the 1.2m height of the chair, with the addition of a support piece allows for a laptop to be placed on top of the chair's back. This placement, with the 1.5m height of a standing microphone, enables a fluid rap recording session without the hassle of going back to sit for minor edits. For sewing - the 50cm height of the seat allows optimal angle of the elbows, at 75cm table height. Then, the heel is elevated 44mm to put less strain on the ankles, when pressing the pedals on the machine
